 1. INTRODUCTION AND PURPOSE.
This manual is published in terms of Section 51 of the Promotion of Access to Information Act No. 2 of 2000 (PAIA), as amended, and in terms of the Protection of Personal Information Act No. 4 of 2013 (POPIA).The purpose of this manual is to: Inform the public of the types of records held by The Bloemhof Grill and Guesthouse Explain how to submit a request for access to records Outline the applicable fees Describe what personal information is processed and how it is protected Inform requesters of their rights and available remedies

10.1 Purpose of Processing Personal Information.

10.2 Transborder Flows of Personal Information.

Security Measures The Bloemhof Grill and Guesthouse implements the following security measures to protect personal information: Physical access controls (locked filing systems, restricted access areas) Digital security measures (password protection, firewalls, encrypted payment systems) Staff confidentiality agreements Regular data backups Secure disposal of records containing personal information 


11. HOW TO REQUEST ACCESS TO RECORDS. 
Any person wishing to request access to records held by The Bloemhof Grill and Guesthouse must: Complete the prescribed PAIA Request Form (Form 2) Submit the completed form to the Information Officer via: Email: [Insert email address] Post: 76 Bloemhof Road, Bo Oakdale, Bellville, Cape Town, 7530 In person: At the above address during business hours Clearly identify the records being requested State the right you are seeking to exercise or protect Indicate your preferred form of access (e.g., inspection, copy, etc.) Form 2 is available for download on the Information Regulator's website at www.inforegulator.org.za 


12. FEES. 
The following fees are applicable in terms of the regulations under PAIA:

Note: Persons seeking access to records about themselves may be exempt from certain fees. Updated fee schedules are available from the Information Regulator. 


 13. GROUNDS FOR REFUSAL. 

The Information Officer may refuse a request on the following grounds as set out in PAIA: Protection of the privacy of a third party Protection of commercial information of a third party Protection of confidential information of a third party Protection of the safety of individuals Protection of records privileged from production in legal proceedings Protection of the commercial activities or trade secrets of The Bloemhof Grill and Guesthouse Protection of research information of a third party


14. REMEDIES AVAILABLE TO REQUESTERS.

If a requester is aggrieved by a decision of the Information Officer, the following remedies are available: Internal Appeal Submit an internal appeal to the head of The Bloemhof Grill and Guesthouse within 60 days of the decision Complaint to the Information Regulator Lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator at inforeg@justice.gov.za Court Application. Apply to a court for appropriate relief
